Close out the weekend with a celebration as Eamonn Flynn and Dublinesque release their new album at Sweetwater, with special guest Suil na Seabhac.
Dublin-born singer, songwriter, and pianist Eamonn Flynn got his start in the film The Commitments and went on to play with blues and R&B greats like Elvin Bishop, Maria Muldaur, and Michael Franti & Spearhead, along with years at the keys at San Francisco's Glide Memorial Church. Dublinesque is his new quartet, featuring Félim Egan on accordion, Darcy Noonan on fiddle, and Hector Bragado on banjo, blending his soul and gospel roots with the Irish traditional music he grew up on. The idea is to recreate the freewheeling house parties of Flynn's childhood, where every genre was welcome, so expect plenty of toe-tapping.
Doors open at 7 PM and the show starts at 8 PM, and it's all ages. Grab your tickets and join the party.
