Pickers and listeners alike are invited to the Marin Bluegrass Sessions, a free monthly bluegrass jam at Sweetwater presented with the California Bluegrass Association.
Held most fourth Sundays since March 2024, the session welcomes intermediate and advanced players to sit in alongside a support band drawn from rotating CBA members. Whether you bring your instrument or just your appetite, it's a relaxed, joyful afternoon of traditional tunes, with the restaurant and bar open throughout. Tips in the jar benefit the CBA's Youth Program Instrument Lending Library, which puts instruments in the hands of young musicians.
Doors open at 11:30 AM and the jam runs from noon to 2 PM. It's all ages and no tickets are required, so just show up and enjoy.
