Experience a powerful and uplifting finale to the Marin Symphony season with Masterworks Four: Shostakovich & Dvořák on Saturday, May 30th and Sunday, May 31st at the James Dunn Theatre at College of Marin.
Led by Music Director Fawzi Haimor, this unforgettable program culminates in Antonín Dvořák’s beloved Symphony No. 8 — a joyful masterpiece bursting with soaring melodies, radiant brass, rustic dances, and the beauty of the natural world. The symphony is pure musical optimism and the perfect way to close out the season.
The program also features Valerie Coleman’s stirring Umoja and Shostakovich’s dramatic Cello Concerto No. 1, performed by acclaimed cellist Oliver Herbert.
