With gluten-free menu items clearly marked (including the entire lunch specials menu and Mo-Shu Wraps), fans flock to the northern edge of Sausalito for Curry Tofu with Vegetables, Minced Chicken Lettuce Wraps and – a childhood fave – Orange Duck.
A salad menu means leaves of green topped with your choice of protein, and Singapore Rice Noodles is fine strands tossed with just enough chile and curry powder to coat each prawn and vegetable. The very Marin, veg-forward approach is felt throughout the menu.

Spend a minute asking Larkspurians about the long-running Chinese restaurant in the heart of town and you are bound to hear about three things: Mongolian Beef. The jelly bean jar. And the patio. All three are signs of a beloved institution that’s held onto its game for multiple decades and owners.
Many visit for the Luncheon Special which still includes fried wontons and hot and sour soup alongside one of 28 entrée choices. (There’s a similar special at dinner.) Of course there’s other items on the menu, like Mongolan Scallops, and Snow Peas with Water Chestnuts. That beef at lunch on the patio, though…

A full-service bar means you can grab one of the tall-backed seats at the bar or on one of the lounge’s couches, order a Mai Tai or a Kung Fu Cosmo with a plate of Barbecue Spare Ribs, and call it a day.
For those nights when sitting at a table is the right call, sink your teeth into the house’s Famous Almond Pressed Duck (try it and become a believer) or Sizzling Rice Prawns and enjoy the thrumming energy of a room full of happy eaters.

The Francisco Boulevard West location and grey, minimalist space belie the fresh, modernist flavors that pop off the menu at this Chinese-Asian hybrid.
One of the few places in Marin that serves Sichuan-style West Lake Soup (with beef, egg, and cilantro), Emma’s is equally well-known for Sweet and Sour Pork and MaPo Tofu with just enough Sichuan pepper to make the dish sing. We’re especially fond of the Tomato Beef Chow Fun but we won’t tell anyone if your favorite order remains Crab Rangoon and Lemon Chicken.

Despite being tucked into Board Walk Center and hard to see from the sreet, Tiburon’s downtown-adjecent Chinese restaurant has a loyal following for its regularly available dim sum and hearty lunchtime bento boxes. The spare décor puts all the focus on the Cantonese flavor like Szechuan Spicy Garlic Chicken, Sweet and Sout Pork and crispy Garlic String Beans, to name just a few of the favorites.
Ming's continues to be a local favorite for take-out and delivery. Potstickers, Chicken Fried Rice, Mongolian Beef, and Chow Main are always the top sellers.
