HopMonk Tavern

Albert Lee, one of the most respected and renowned guitarists in music history, is coming to HopMonk this Friday.

The British-born country-rock artist started his career during the emerging rock 'n' roll scene of sixties London, when he swapped bands with the likes of Jimmy Page and Chris Farlowe. Lee has worked with The Everly Brothers, Eric Clapton, Emmylou Harris and The Crickets over his long and illustrious career. After moving to the U.S. and assimilating himself into the country music scene, Albert quickly garnered a reputation as one of the fastest guitar players in the business. He recorded a number of solo albums, and won a Grammy in 2002 for his contribution on 'Foggy Mountain Breakdown'. He continues to tour today, and plays his signature Ernie Ball Music Man Guitar.

Sweetwater Music Hall

RagDolls, the all-female Aerosmith tribute band, is coming to Sweetwater this Saturday.

RagDolls has garnered the type of critical acclaim that takes most tribute bands years to achieve. Delivering energetic and powerful performances, RagDolls dig deep into the soul of America’s greatest rock and roll band. If imitation is the greatest form of flattery, then it is blatantly clear that these women capture the essence of Aerosmith out of a love for the music and its energy.

They'll have you rocking out to Aerosmith classics like:  Dream On, Walk This Way, and Sweet Emotion to the MTV era hits such as I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing, Janie’s Got a Gun, Cryin’ and Love in an Elevator. By the end of the show, the audience will feel like they’ve experienced the real thing.

Marin Theatre Company

Marin Theatre Co. closes out its 2024/25 season with the Bay Area premiere of Do You Feel Anger? - an outrageous comedy that highlights the absurdity and danger of a world where some people's feelings are prioritized over others.

The story revolves around Sofia who is hired as an empathy coach at a debt collection agency, where she quick finds out that her work is cut out for her. The employees can barely identify what an emotion is, much less practice deep, radical compassion for others. As they stumble towards enlightenment, hidden tensions of this carefree workplace bubble to the surface, leading to uproarious and eye-opening revelations.

The show has been hailed by the New York Times as “Flat-out hilarious. Ingenious and inspired.” Award-winning theatre and film director Becca Wolff helms this MTC production.
