In a breezy, sun-dappled room, chef Tony Senehi serves up plates of carefully considered California fare. Breakfast is served daily until 3 p.m. so a chorizo scramble or made from scratch cornmeal waffles are available, even on weekdays. Tony often works the room, checking in on regulars and everyone else to ensure the food in front of you is as you like it.
In the evenings, candles replace sunlight to retain that warm glow and the menu pivots to larger plates of unfussy, fresh fare that feel right at home in a cafe. For fancier “do’s”, lamb rack with mashed potatoes and a pomegranate reduction or wild King salmon with fingerling potatoes and Kalamata vinaigrette. For days when the vibe is more casual, fish and chips with sweet potato fries and slaw or meatloaf with savory tomato sauce are reason enough to celebrate.
