It all started over 20 years ago, when Annette and Gerner Andresen (Denmark natives) opened the Lighthouse Cafe in Sausalito. The small cafe (seats just 30 diners) quickly became famous for its breakfast and lunch, with American classics like good old-fashioned hamburgers and a great selection of omelettes, along with Scandinavian classics like Danish meatballs.
Locals rave about their Norwegian omelette with smoked salmon, fruit pancakes, and eggs Benedict.
The cafe has two sister locations (in Sausalito and Mill Valley). Lighthouse Corte Madera is THE place for breakfast and lunch with a charming small town atmosphere.
