Marin Museum of Contemporary Art Presents "The Sky Below" which brings together eight Bay Area artists who draw on feminist science and speculative fiction to imagine alternative futures. The exhibit runs July 19th - September 28th.
Inspired by authors like Ursula K. LeGuin, Octavia Butler, and NK Jemisin, the exhibition reclaims sci-fi tropes as tools for resistance and transformation. These works root futuristic visions in embodied experience, memory, and ecology, blending craft traditions with new media to offer a grounded, expansive take on what lies ahead.
