On Saturday, June 6th, the Lark Theater is thrilled to present a one-of-a-kind evening combining live magic and cinema magic!
Bay Area native Christian Cagigal — a bi-coastal magician and mentalist who has dazzled audiences at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, Speakeasy Magick in New York City, and consulted for Broadway productions — kicks things off with a captivating pre-show performance. Then, settle in for the stunning French animated film The Illusionist (2010), in which a struggling French illusionist named Jean-Claude Donda tours Scotland's pubs and run-down restaurants as rock 'n' roll takes over the 1950s. His fortunes change when he meets Alice (Eilidh Rankin), a girl who truly believes in his powers, leading them on a heartfelt journey to Edinburgh.
It's a perfect pairing of real-world wonder and cinematic enchantment — an ideal night out for anyone who believes in a little magic.
