Sausalito's annual Gingerbread House Tour & Competition is a family-friendly holiday tradition that never fails to inspire wonder, awe, and delight. From December 8-31, merchants and businesses will display their confectionary creations throughout town. Maps are available online and at participating merchants.

Take a leisurely stroll to view the amazing gingerbread houses, which in past years have included lighthouses, undersea scenes with creatures playing instruments, and a full mockup of Alcatraz Island. This year they're also introducing a Holiday Cocktail Competition! Local restaurants will vie for top honors by creating their own festive signature cocktails. Enjoy seasonal sips, vote for your favorites, and pair them with holiday-themed gingerbread wonder.
Participating restaurants include: Poggio, Copita, The Trident, Angelino, Le Garage, Barrel House Tavern, The Spinnaker, Suzette Bistro, Salito's, and Sushi Ran.

A beloved coastal tradition returns as the Muir Beach Holiday Arts Fair once again transforms the Muir Beach Community Center into a festive marketplace December 6th - 7th.

For over 50 years, this cherished holiday event offers the perfect opportunity to shop locally and support Bay Area artists while enjoying the scenic beauty of Muir Beach—just a quick 15-minute drive from Highway 101.

More than 40 local artists from Marin and the greater Bay Area will showcase a vibrant array of handmade fine art and crafts, including jewelry, ceramics, glassware, textiles, woodworking, wreaths, ornaments, leather goods, and garden-inspired gifts. The Muir Beach Quilters will return with their signature scarves, gloves, and quilts, and the Muir Beach Volunteer Firefighters will sell their popular logo apparel, hats, and stainless-steel accessories to support the fire department.

This year’s fair once again partners with the California College of the Arts, highlighting an exciting selection of student artwork. Food and beverages will be available for purchase, and a portion of proceeds will benefit local community programs.

Now in its 41st season, The Great Dickens Christmas Fair continues to enchant generations with its sprawling recreation of 19th-century London, populated by hundreds of costumed characters from literature and history. Guests encounter familiar faces such as Ebenezer Scrooge, Father Christmas and Mr. and Mrs. Fezziwig, along with chimney sweeps, suffragists, seafarers, and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. Around every corner and down each lamplit lane, visitors discover seven stages of continuous entertainment and interactive moments that ensure no two visits are ever the same — an unforgettable experience that draws guests back year after year.
