Recommendation #5
Lark Theater

The Lark Theater is hosting SIMPLY SAID - a spoken word series fashioned after NPR's "The Moth Radio Hour." Get ready for an evening of laughter, tears, elation, and contemplation.

Each show features a lineup of experienced storytellers, blended with opportunities for audience members to put their name in “the hat” to tell their own story on the monthly theme. July's theme is FIRST DATE (or stories you might tell on a first date).

How it Works:

Stories must be 5 minutes or less, spoken aloud (not read), just plain-spoken word about something you have experienced personally. This is spontaneous with no auditions or rehearsals. If you wish to tell a story, you’ll have an opportunity to put your name in a hat!
