They say that where there is smoke, there is fire. And never was that more true than at Blazers Smokehouse & Beer Garden. Their intoxicating BBQ fumes can be smelled from a block away!
Erick Hendricks and his wife Keri Sullivan have brought their mashup of Kansas City/Texas/California-style barbecue to downtown Novato. The new-ish restaurant (formerly the home of Perry's Deli) boasts an inviting indoor/outdoor space that seats over 100. Before venturing into barbecue, Hendricks spent 10 years at the beloved Hilltop 1892, and prior to that at Forbes Island in San Francisco. Sullivan, who hails from Texas, manages the front of the house duties and extends her welcoming hospitality to every customer who walks in the door.
A Southern Pride Smoker sits at one corner of the outdoor stage and according to Hendricks is a key component to making their exceptional slow-cooked meats. Menu highlights include: BBQ Brisket, St. Louis Ribs, Smoked Chicken Nachos, and the Pulled Pork Sandwich. And don't miss out on the mouthwatering side dishes like their Jalapeño coleslaw, Potato Salad, Queso, House Medley Pickles, and Mac & Cheese.
And for those seeking lighter fare, Blazers offers Baja Style Fish Tacos, a Veggie Burger, and a selection of Fresh Salads.

Along with their unique style of BBQ, beer is also front and center at this inviting and friendly restaurant. The 15-seat bar or the outdoor patio are equally comfortable options for enjoying a rotating option of 12 different beers on tap.
If you need a mid-week pick-me-up, Blazers does Happy Hour every Wednesday - Friday from 3pm - 6pm (at the bar only). Guests can enjoy $1 off rotating kegs, $7 glasses of wine, and $2 off appetizers.
Beginning April 26th, Blazers will feature live music in their tented beer garden. Guests can catch some of their favorite local bands while dancing off some of those yummy calories.
