The 22nd Annual DjangoFest Mill Valley returns to the Throckmorton September 24-27 celebrating the music of Django Reinhardt and the Hot Club tradition. Get ready for four extraordinary days of world-class gypsy jazz featuring legendary artists from around the globe.
This year they have a tremendous line-up of gypsy jazz musicians from across the globe. The festival features three days of incredible concerts, workshops, master classes, festival parties, and culminates in the ultimate “djam” performance.
This year's artists include acclaimed guitarist Gonzalo Bergara, German guitar virtuoso Gismo Graf, internationally renowned violinist Tim Kliphuis, vocalist & violinist Leah Zeger, clarinetist Rob Hardt, vocalist Stella Heath, and festival favorites Jimmy Grant and Simon Planting.

This 8-piece band brings authentic album-worthy renditions of Pink Floyd favorites with soaring vocal talents, exquisite musicianship, and visual experiences that has grown their fanbase exponentially and sold out local venues since the founding in 2021. The musicians in Pete Floyd are all very experienced and have been in other bands in the area. Pete Hale (the Grain) is a guitar playing singer in the band, Pete Delaney (the Hots, the Dictator Tots) doubles him. Teal Collins (Mother Truckers) and Paige Clem (Terrapin Crossroads alumni) provide backup vocals. The well-traveled Bob McBain plays keys, Toby Tyler (the Hots) plays the bass, and Sean England (the Hots, “he’s a local drummer star”) is the drummer. The band highlights Sonoman Alex Garcia playing his saxophone.

In tribute to the genius of Ray Charles, a swinging sextet of outstanding Bay Area musicians offers their take on some of the highlights from Ray’s amazing songbook. A band of prominent musicians is perpetuating that legacy and bringing his music to San Francisco. The band is a meeting of elite jazz and blues musicians including 11-time GRAMMY® Award winner and Santana vocalist Tony Lindsay & noted Bay Area guitarist Chris Cain.
The Ray Charles Project is a rock solid line-up all-stars. In addition to Tony Lindsay on vocals (Santana) and Chris Cain on guitar, the band includes Maze on vocals (Narada Michael Walden), Myron Dove on bass (Santana), Kevin Hayes on drums (Robert Cray Band), and Eamonn Flynn on piano/keyboards.

Marin Theatre Company (MTC) presents The White Chip, a sobering comedy of errors (August 27 - September 20).
Success seems to come easily to Steven McAlister. Charismatic and constantly in motion, he’s built a life that looks enviable from the outside — complete with a dream job at a prestigious theatre. But from his very first drink at 12, it’s clear he has been lying to himself for years. Equal parts hilarious and heartbreaking, this “recovery comedy” unfolds from Steven’s own disarmingly candid and charmingly funny perspective. Named for the tokens given in Alcoholics Anonymous to mark the beginning of sobriety, The White Chip follows Steven as he barrels through the highs, lows, and spectacular missteps of addiction, telling a story about the courage to start over, one day at a time. Marin Artistic Director Lance Gardner helms this production.

Set in late 1940s Brooklyn and told through a montage of memories, dreams, and arguments of the protagonist traveling salesman Willy Loman who is despondent with his life and appears to be slipping into senility. Several tragic, soul-searching revelations – concerning his wife, his sons and his business associates – underscore how his quest for the “American Dream” kept him blind to the people who truly loved him.
