Jesse Brewster returns to Sweetwater Music Hall this Thursday, for the 2nd Annual Jesse Brewster & Friends Celebration, with this year benefiting the SF–Marin Food Bank.
A singer-songwriter and founding member of the Eagles tribute Illeagles, Jesse blends Americana, rock, soul, and R&B with authenticity and heart. Brewster has eight albums to his credit and nearly 100 released songs.After the success of last year’s 20th anniversary show, Jesse is once again bringing together more than 20 local and touring musicians for an evening of collaboration and unforgettable performances.
This year’s lineup includes: Victoria George, Mickelson, Felsen, Captain Monk, Francesca Lee, SunHunter (voted Best Local Band by Best of Marin), and Melissa Phillips with James DePrato. Studio 54 Revisited is Marin's premier 6-piece disco dance band. They are bringing the hedonistic dance party days of the 70s to "The Session Room" at Hopmonk, Novato. Studio 54 performs the greatest hits by the best dance bands of the 70s and beyond. The band is fronted by the lovely and talented Angie Maserati singing the irresistible dance hits from such notable artists as KC and the Sunshine Band, Donna Summer, The Bee Gees, Michael Jackson, Kool and the Gang, and many more.

Jon Chi & The Pacific Syndicate return to Mac’s at 19 Broadway this Saturday with a sound that is instantly recognizable, deeply musical, and absolutely electric live.
John Chi's band is a musical blend of spacious Americana and psychedelic soul. Jon is the former frontman for the band Rainmaker, a popular group who found their fans among the jamband and world music scene. Over the years, Jon has performed with Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart and Dave Schools (bassist for Widespread Panic).

The Lark is hosting SIMPLY SAID - a spoken word series fashioned after NPR's "The Moth Radio Hour" on Tuesday, December 16th.
The SIMPLY SAID series is held every third Tuesday of the month and hosted by Corey Rosen. Each show features a lineup of experienced storytellers, blended with opportunities for audience members to put their name in “the hat” to tell their own story on the monthly theme. December's theme is "VACATION." Sure, “vacation” might mean boarding passes, sandy beaches, or a packed car heading up the coast. But vacations can take many forms: the weekend you finally did nothing, the moment you mentally checked out of a job, the break you didn’t ask for, the escape you needed, or the unexpected detour that changed you.
How it Works:
Stories must be 5 minutes or less, spoken aloud, just plain-spoken word about something you have experienced personally. This is spontaneous with no auditions or rehearsals. If you wish to tell a story, just put your name in a hat!
