When San Francisco’s Jane group took over Tiburon’s legendary Sweet Things bakery in late 2022, owner Amanda Michael promised to keep the old favorites (and the staff) while layering in Jane classics. The result is a bright, mural-splashed bakery in the Cove Shopping Center next to Nugget Market, with cases full of layer cakes, pies, tarts, cookies, bars and morning pastries alongside Jane’s flaky croissants and crusty artisan breads.
Cake lovers can pick from flavors like Black Tie (dark chocolate with white chocolate mousse), Black Magic, Lemon Custard and Carrot in cupcake, 6-inch and 9-inch sizes, with custom and sheet cakes available with 72 hours’ notice. Grab a coffee and a Big Jane Cookie and settle in at one of the indoor or outdoor tables – parking is plentiful – or pre-order online for pickup.
