Marinitas

Marinitas was home to several favorite watering holes over the years and it’s one of the few places that has a full liquor license in San Anselmo. So, it’s not surprising that it’s San Anselmo’s go-to Happy Hour spot for margaritas, chips, and guacamole. The restaurant has also been serving up its reliable menu of Latin American-inspired salads, tacos, and enchiladas for over a decade.  

Insider tip--look to the specials served Friday through Sunday—especially the Yucatan-style Cochinitas Pibil - a slow braised achiote spiced pork with adobo black bean purée and house made tortillas. 

While the dependable food is a draw, it’s the bar that locals flock to the most. A nice selection of margaritas all made with blue agave tequilas and fresh lime juice are served by professional and friendly bartenders. An impressive list of tequilas and a few mezcals are also available along with a handful of Latin-inspired and classic cocktails. Come for happy hour and stay for dinner or place an order to go. The restaurant even has a Carta Marinitas Taco Truck that can be reserved for parties and serves between 50-400 people.
