Wednesday means open mic night at HopMonk Novato, and this week's featured act is Where Ya Been?, taking the Session Room stage for a spotlight set at 8 PM.

Hosted by Dennis Haneda, this long-running weekly gathering is one of the friendliest stages in Marin for singer-songwriters, first-timers, and seasoned players alike. Each act gets two songs or eight minutes, and full bands are welcome, with a house drum kit and full keyboard ready to go. Not performing? Pull up a seat, order something from the taps, and enjoy a night of homegrown talent.

Sign-up is in person at 6 PM, and the music runs from 6:30 to 10 PM. It's all ages with no cover, so just show up and enjoy.
