Visit Novato

Boasting more than 100 entries, the Novato 4th of July Parade is one of the largest in the Bay Area. Early in the morning on the 4th, crowds line Novato’s Grant Avenue in the city’s Old Town district to secure their favorite traditional spot to watch.

Parade-goers love the pageantry of classic cars, military vehicles, color guards, festive floats, bands, fancy cowgirls on golden palominos, decorated basset hounds, and the famed comedic marching troop, the Nave Patrola. This old-fashioned festival is a wonderful way to recognize our military veterans and their sacrifices for our country.
