“Market” is but one translation of the Ross restaurant’s French name. With manager Olivier Criado on board since April and consulting chef Dan Baker on board since 2024, perhaps the more apropos translation might be “to walk.”
The farm-to-fork menu spans Italian, French and the greater Mediterranean diaspora, an exploration of European flavors translated through the lens of California Cuisine.
To kick things off, a “snack” of Boquerones with grilled sourdough served with Mozzarella Burrata, fuyu persimmon, pomegranate, arugula, walnuts, balsamic A BLT Salad tastes even better when summer’s tomatoes are at their peak. That can be followed by a classic Italian “primi” of house made Gnocchi with foraged mushrooms and white corn. The crisp Duck Confit with toasted farro, toasted hazelnuts, and fresh figs, is another signature dish.
Fans flock to the restaurant for the house’s weekly specials:
Tuesday - Fried Chicken with fresh cornbread and cole slaw
Wednesday - Baby Back Ribs with waffle fries and street corn
Thursday - Burger Night (grass-fed, of course).
The menu boasts a huge half-bottle wine list – more than 25 options enable guests to experience French, Italian, Spanish and other regional wines.
Happy Hour - Wednesday - Friday (4pm -5:30pm)
$10 spritzes
$15 meatball sandwiches
$9 glasses of wine and beer
But perhaps the best part of Marché is its charming patio.
Tucked under western magnolias and just enough sparkling lights, the setting is simply dreamy, enhanced by cushy pillows on the chairs.
Both the patio and interior are available for private events.
Whether you're looking for a romantic date night spot, a casual evening out with friends, or a sunny patio party, Marché Restaurant always delivers an affair to remember!
