Is mezze the original share plate? We don’t know but we do like that it’s loaded with house made falafel, muhammara and a zesty wedge of feta. The restaurant leans into Mediterranean flavor: Harissa-roasted cauliflower are right at home alongside grilled octopus and lamb moussaka. Do try the pinsa Romana, its rice, soy and wheat blended crust gives these little, Roman-style pizzas lighter texture.

Big plates of whole branzino and a chicken shawarma kebab plate come with all the fixings, freshly prepared and full of zip. The blue and white tiled bar, blue chairs and blue lights add Greek – or is that Turkish? – cheer to the interior, even on the drippiest day. There’s even a feta-brined martini and a mostly Mediterranean wine list that includes selections from Lebanon, Portugal and Greece.
