Here are known and little-known spots to quench a thirst.

My Background:
Drink (best accompanied with great food and company) is one of the simple pleasures in life, that we all get to try. Blessed to live and travel abroad - grateful to contrast and share my passion with friends who hit the secret stash of pow at granite chief or early golf at the foot of Fuji-san. Stay thirsty my friends!

Marin Recommendations

MARIN RECOMMENDATION #1
The Bungalow Kitchen by Michael Mina

Successfully opening to great acclaim and excitement, recommend BK for (1) awesome views even for the Bay Area (2) personalities of bar tenders like Rich and (3) a kind of atmosphere that is more “meat packing” than sleepy Marin county

MARIN RECOMMENDATION #2
The Pelican Inn

Speckled Hen - the best ale in the Western Hemisphere is poured on tap. Can be enjoyed with shepherd’s pie in their beer garden that could easily be from Oxfordshire or Düsseldorf.

MARIN RECOMMENDATION #3
Farmshop

A go-to-bar where you can meet old or new friends, It also boasts one of the longest bars in North America (they used to have a Tokyo location). I like to sip on the Case Azulejo Tequila - it's like a pour of bourbon.

MARIN RECOMMENDATION #4
Keiko Fish

My new favorite sushi place. Haikkaisan (any Junmai Daiginjo) - great regional sake are best accompanied with omakase at the bar. Chef Abe will take care of you, and over time, remember you.
