Marin Recommendations

MARIN RECOMMENDATION #1
Stillwater

A fantastic place for oysters, fresh fish tacos and a messy burger, with a perfectly curated and creative top shelf cocktail program. The last time we went, we just stopped in for some perfect cocktails while waiting for a table at Village Sake. The back patio and front parklet are both great for recovery brunches from the night before.

MARIN RECOMMENDATION #2
Farmshop

Located at Marin Country Mart, Farmshop has some of the best pizza (complete with scissors) in all of the Bay Area. Make this part of your modern outdoor “mall” experience and dine after a hard day’s shopping at Hero Shop, Clic, and Marine Layer. They also have their own market to get your artisanal grocery shopping done as well.

MARIN RECOMMENDATION #3
Guesthouse

I’m not sure their bar qualifies as a singles scene but it plays out like one Thursdays-Saturdays. Being happily married, thank you for asking, I prefer their outdoor tented seating... and it helps that the staff know Pablo (the dog) on a first name basis. Mondays are prime rib night, so if you’re truly living your best Ross Valley life, you should have no problem starting your week here.

MARIN RECOMMENDATION #4
Cucina SA

I believe Resy has the empirical proof but we’ve been coming here about once a week since moving to San Anselmo at the beginning of the year. You always run into someone you know, which makes for a social dining experience, and this is where we bring our city friends who think Cotogna and Che Fico are all that. If I don’t have a negroni here, something’s gone awry.
