Marin Art & Garden Center's Summer Concerts in the Garden returns every Thursday this July in their Gazebo Lawn. Here's your chance to listen to great music, dine al fresco, and sing/dance on a warm summer night in a beautiful setting.

This week's headliner is Dirty Cello. Led by vivacious cross-over cellist, Rebecca Roudman, this five-piece band combines the virtuosic wail of Jimi Hendrix, the soul of BB King, and the fire of Bill Monroe. The band's energetic and interactive shows are all over the map, and their music has been described as "funky, carnival, romantic, sexy, tangled, electric, and fiercely rhythmic."

Bring a picnic, refillable water bottle, blanket, low-backed lawn chairs. Fox Pizza, Pond Farm Beer, and Bartholomew Estate wines will be available for purchase. There will be a KidZone with activities for the little ones.

The LoWatters are bringing their distinctive American music back to Rancho Nicasio this Friday.
***
The LoWatters are a talented acoustic quartet made up of Steve Trivelpiece, Ethan Okamura, Jason Loeks, and JT John. Their sound ranges from the high lonesome twang to the low down dirty roots and is inspired by classic Americana singer songwriters while still retaining a unique sound all their own. They specialize in soulful covers of Americana artists such as John Prine, Gillian Welch, Gram Parsons and The Band to name a few. Their originals would be at home on a playlist with the aforementioned artists along with a slight nod toward more contemporary artists such as Bon Iver, Iron and Wine and Ryan Adams. Whatever they play, effortless vocal harmonies abound!

Join Spiral Stairs (yes, that Spiral Stairs from Pavement) for an evening of stories, songs, swag, and serious indie rock feels.

At 4:30pm this Sunday, Spiral Stairs spills the tea in a no-holds-barred Q&A—expect deep cuts, tour tales, and maybe a little gossip. Then he’ll hit the stage with some surprise guests for a live set that’s looser than a cassette tape in a glovebox. After that, they'll dim the lights and crank the nostalgia for a screening of Pavements, the definitive (and gloriously weird) tribute to one of the most iconic bands of the ’90s.

There will be exclusive giveaways, maybe some singalongs, and definitely no corporate sponsors. Just vibes, vinyl, and VHS-era legends. There will be a Pavement Museum Artifact Display in the Cinelounge lobby featuring items from the film.
